A Bridge of Grace for God’s Glory

StoneBridge is a gathering of people committed to the gospel of grace, living in authentic community, and sharing the hope we have in Jesus.

Our Values

Why we do what we do

Captivating Grace Icon

CAPTIVATING GRACE
Being amazed, daily, by the gospel.

We are here because of the amazing grace offered through Jesus alone. This changes everything and saturates into all aspects of our lives. Out of this, we long to extend this grace in similar captivating ways to all people for the glory of God.

Intentional Community Icon

INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY
Doing life together with purpose.

Only in the gospel are we freed to discover and engage in a biblical community where we are accepted, forgiven, and released for his kingdom purposes. We endeavor to create mercy-filled spaces for open conversations and honest reflections.

Creative Generosity Icon

CREATIVE GENEROSITY
Giving ourselves away in unique ways.

As God’s infallible Word and Spirit shapes and transforms us, we’re drawn to discover God’s creativity in how we can bless our church, neighborhoods, city, and the world.

Our Vision

Where we are called

The StoneBridge Story

You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Simple. Profound. This is exactly where the StoneBridge story began. A group of people who wanted to see a new expression of church—rooted in the gospel of Jesus, living in an authentic community, and being the hope to their neighbors in the University and North Charlotte communities. In the past thirty years, StoneBridge has taken on bold initiatives to fulfill that purpose; here in Charlotte, in Brooklyn, and in India. And as we look at the next thirty, we remain anchored into what has always been and what will always be true of StoneBridge.

We will focus on teaching, encouraging, equipping, and releasing the people of StoneBridge to love their neighbors: the people on their street, the co-worker in the next cubicle, the student who sits across from them. Neighboring is more than a program or sentiment. It is a movement that began with Jesus. The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood. (John 1:14 MSG). It’s more than just knowing our neighbors’ names (while it does begin there) but actually being Jesus to those whom God has called us to live next door to. We’re going to learn how to laugh with our neighbors, celebrate with our neighbors, mourn with our neighbors, and be in community with our neighbors. Our vision is that in every neighborhood across the North Charlotte community, we could be “church” to each other and to our neighbors. Picture it now a church released to see the gospel flourish at StoneBridge, in your neighborhood, and across Charlotte and the world. A church that is Placed for a Purpose.

Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
1 Corinthians 10:24

Our Strategy

What we are called to do

quadtych

By 2030, our strategy is to…

Pray and Care for 100 Neighborhoods | We believe prayer makes a difference and our desire is to saturate our city in and neighborhoods in prayer.

Share the Gospel 1,000 times | We believe the gospel, the good news of Jesus and his grace, needs to be shared in truth and grace.

Equip and Train 150 Leaders | We believe diving deeper into God’s word in intentional community and on mission towards others is essential to make a difference in our church and communities.

Launch 10 New Global and Local Works | We believe God is on the move and is transforming, restoring, and reconciling the whole world, beginning with Charlotte and we want to be a part of it.
