Godly Geese

Some people may find Canadian geese a nuisance, but I look forward to them on Friday mornings as I stand outside the abortion clinic.  

Each week, I serve with Love Life’s sidewalk ministry.  There are several of us there trying to give out pamphlets and talk to women that are scheduled for an abortion and it is there that I have my encounters with the Canadian geese.  I, too, was annoyed with them until I had a change of perspective.  More than once they have started walking across the street and then stop and sit down right in the middle.  As a result, cars that are trying to drive to the abortion clinic need to stop or slow down giving us the opportunity to speak to these women heading in. If not for the geese, we would have many missed opportunities. 

Now, when I see my godly geese out on Latrobe drive, I am grateful because they not only slow down the process of entering the clinic, but give us the opportunity to minister to these women leaning towards abortion.  

Just think….If God can use geese, he can use you!
