4th of July Fun

We asked the congregation what they did for the 4th or July this year…here are their answers:

We watched (again) the movies National Treasure and The Patriot leading up to Independence Day, then had dear friends from church over for dinner. (Mike Malament)

We went to the Mooresville parade and our pool, then had tacos (Taco Tuesday) and fireworks in the street. (Tim Mascara)

We drove to visit some friends near Atlanta, had a bbq, and shot off fireworks. (Daniel Ellingburg)

We celebrated with our son on Lake Norman, went boating, and watched the fireworks! (Colleen Praeger)

We took the kids to see the US Men’s National Soccer team beat Trinidad & Tobago 6-0 at BOA stadium. (Chris Hall)

Ate hot dogs from the grill and went to the Harrisburg parade. (Stuart Darden)

Family Picnic/Reunion in Ohio … 52 people covering 4 generations ranging in age from 6 months to 88 years old. (Monica Gutai)

We had a little cookout with people in our community, including one who celebrated a birthday. It was a nice and quiet evening at home watching the Macy’s New York beautiful light show. (Becky Baker)

We went to a friend’s house, and it was also her birthday, and they grilled salmon outside! (Carol Sahli)

Since July 4 is my birthday,  I invited “International Campus Connections” students & volunteers to a  bicycle parade and firehose spray, then lunch at Zapata’s restaurant and fireworks in Harrisburg. (Ellen Coble)
