Maundy Thursday Service
Join us at 7:00 pm for our Maundy Thursday service on March 29.
If you have worshipped with us at this service in the past you know that it makes your celebration of Resurrection Sunday all the more meaningful.   We are excited about all our services leading up to and during Holy Week and want you to be a part of them.
For Maundy Thursday, the service of Tenebrae, or "service of shadows," grew out of a combination of late night and early-morning prayer.  This service impresses upon the hearts of believers the awful consequences of sin and the magnitude of Jesus' gracious sacrifice.  The most noticeable aspect of this service is the gradual extinguishing of the lights and candles.  The candles represent the disciples and other followers of Jesus as they took flight and deserted the Lord.  The ensuing darkness symbolizes the growing resentment and hatred of the world against the Savior and culminates in the complete darkness that was over the land upon Christ's death.  This will be just a part of experiencing together some of the things the disciples experienced during that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so many years ago.
Because of the nature of the service and the fact that we will only have one service, please arrive 10 minutes early to have a moment of quiet reflection.
Childcare will be provided for 4th grade and younger. Please email the names and ages of your children.  Please note if you have a child with special needs.  Preschoolers will have childcare in our Nursery Wing and elementary kids are welcome to join us for an Easter movie upstairs in the Cafe/Lounge.  Thank you for helping us to be prepared by emailing an RSVP for childcare.

Good Friday - Journey to the Cross
An Interactive Prayer Walk
Come and reflect on the events of Jesus’ crucifixion in a unique and meaningful way.
Just a couple of notes for when you come:
Hours – The Journey will be open from 11am until 6pm.
Please allow 45-60 minutes for your walk through.
Entrance will be through the main doors.
Silence – Please remain silent for the duration of the walk.
Time – Take your time, there is no need to rush through. If someone behind you is going faster than you are, simply let them pass through the station ahead of you.
Optional – Some stations are interactive - if you feel uncomfortable participating in the activity - please feel free to simply watch or reflect and then move on to the next station.
Children – Children are most welcome, but we ask that younger ones are accompanied by a parent throughout the walk.
Parents - feel free to softly discuss the different stations with your child.
– Staff will be available onsite to assist and answer any questions you may have or you can email prior to Friday.
